Cupcake!

Well this weekend has been hectic. Great Super Bowl game! Lots of celebrations! And when I went to shoot this morning's cloud photo I got distracted by this photo which I took last month. I love chocolate. Immensely. So chocolate trumps clouds for today's posting. I mean, come on, it even has sprinkles and frosting!!! Enough drool. Tomorrow, we'll probably resume our regularly scheduled programming.

Disneyland: Jungle Cruise

I guess this'll be the last of my Disney shots for now (because this series is doing so well. ha!). I shot this while on the Jungle Cruise boat ride (next to Indiana Jones). Yes, it's artificial. But it was the most real-looking thing on this entirely fake cruise (think: animatronic versions of animals and people).

Maybe I'll go back to clouds over the next couple days. Ha!

Disneyland: Soundsational Parade

So I accidentally ended up watching Mickey's Soundsational Parade twice in the same day (walking traffic comes to a standstill when the thing is going on). This, here, is the float for Mary Poppin's Spoonful of Rhythm (the finale) as it made its way toward Main Street (the Matterhorn ride is in the background). Overall, I thought the parade was catchy (definitely better at night), but should have used a different song for Lion King's float. ;)

Disneyland: Columbia

Because it was cloudy the day I went to Disneyland, I originally started processing this as a black and white. But at the last minute I changed my mind and switched back to color. I actually like the really skewed result afterward. I took a reverse shot of the boat as well which had the name "Columbia" written on the back, but I preferred this angle more. :)

Disneyland: Tea Cup Ride

I've never actually been on this ride as an adult, but it sure is one of my favorite things to photograph while at Disneyland. I didn't have a tripod on me, but I would have loved to have done a long exposure of the whirling tea cups.

I can't remember if the lanterns above light up at night. Now, THAT would really make an awesome picture.

Clouds 1/27/13

Yay! The sun came out today, but we still had rain on and off throughout the day and so I got to snap this!

Unfortunately, I missed the two photowalks that occurred yesterday in LA (why did they both have to schedule on the day I was going to Disneyland!). Oh well. I'll dig through those shots over the next few days. I don't know about you guys, but I'm awfully tired of these cloud shots. lol.

Clouds 1/24/13

It rained most of this morning and it looks like the sun is temporarily peaking out before it rains again tonight. I'm hoping it clears up before this weekend now that I have outdoor plans. ;)

I'm sort of stuck right now. I have a client whom I promised photos for by last weekend but I never finished because I'm just not interested in editing those photos. Some were excellent, but the majority were mediocre. It's not that I'm afraid to hand them to her, it's just I'm not inspired to sit down and edit the 1000 photos. Ever had this dilemma? How do you force yourself to just crank them out? It seems money, reputation, personal motivation just ain't cutting it.
